The passing of yet another old friend

I received this  FB message on April 12"Hi Auntie , my mom passed away peacefully on 10th Apr. We are doing her wake at our home in Puchong, leaving for the crematorium on Saturday at 11pm."I read the message again , just to be right . She is a dear old friend and we spent a lot of time together in those days when our children were still small . There were swimming days , family trips to Islands etc . How I miss those times .When she and her family transferred out of town to the capital City , we lost touch a bit but remained close at heart . In between , we have paid each other visits though not that many time s to boast about. .

2 months ago , my friend and her family dropped by my home again and I was so so very happy to meet them . She appeared active & happy , healthy with a trim figure and smiling her captivating smiles and I was happy that they have moved on very well in life . My friend told me that they have moved house again , to a gated community in another part of the city that is commercially very vibrant . I also noticed a bigger and luxurious family car ! Of course I am happy for my good friend and her family ! Before going back from my home on that day . my friend's husband reminded us to keep in contact ,good old friends are like jewels and he said again : "We do not meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason". I said again because my friend's husband wrote this in his New year Greetings to me  late December 2012.   I am convinced that my friend and her husband really take our friendship seriously .

Though I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn of her sudden departure but am also comforted to learn that she passed away painlessly in sleep due to heart attack . Dear friend , I will always treasure your friendship , all the memories of our time together and the joy you bring to all around you . Please Rest In Peace
