Creatures !

My house  is infested with rats  of late  and I detest  it ! They scurry through  the outside of the house compound  at any time of the day , much more towards the late evening , feeding off the dog food . Yes , the exposed or unexposed dog food  is attracting them to my residence .

 My issue with rodents is that they don’t seem to know their boundaries. If they want to star in movies  , I am fine with it. But if they want to take up residence , then I have a problem.

My 3 dogs namely  “  Mighty White – The Bad One “ , “ Mile – The Lovely “ and “Japan -   The Neglected one  “ have not done well   in warding off  the nuisance , in fact I would like to put the blame on all three  for leaving remnants  that attract the rats .

Yet  I   am  never  angry with any of those  3 creatures , none of them is of any pedigree to boast of but they are the most amazing creatures  in my opinion ! Each with their unique characteristics .

Mighty White ( MW)  is a  male which can open the main iron gate   by itself  ! Needless to say  , he had the opportunity  to enjoy  uncountable  escapades  . Many of the times , he left the house for several days at a stretch ,  totally famished  he would gobble up anything in sight and slept without a care in the world  after that ! What more , he always come back escorted by  his “ harem “ . With 3 of our own dogs within the compound and another 6 outside , our house  is definitely well guarded  and looks formidable !

And if  the gate is padlocked , MW would announce his presence and his desire to get in with a single commanding noise “  woop” . The commands would be louder and louder till action is taken . What is most intriguing is that it will only make those demands if it sensed  any member of the family is available ! MW  never ever disturbed us if we were asleep !  

MW  is now known as the” bad one “ as  he favours  his harem , sharing his food with them !   MW never shares with  Milo or  Japan , both are “spayed bitches”.  

Milo , coexists comfortably with MW within the compound , each has their own special space ! MW is  only tyrannical towards  Milo & Japan regarding food .

Milo is  “ The Lovely “ , always energized by all the attention she received and she would reward us with her loving looks & luxurious stretch  and  then  snuggle up close to rub her head against us . She really was flirting and expecting  to be picked up and held and to be petted . Even our new neighbor has been won over by “ Lovely “ ! 

Japan , The neglected   , is a timid , pitiful-looking  bitch . She has only taken 1 bath since we  brought her in a few years ago . Not too long ago  , I tied her up to give her a good bath and ended up injuring myself when she struggled so fiercely to set herself free !  Ever since MW came home with his harem , Japan has distanced  herself further from home ! But she is still within  sight  as she parked herself most of the time  in a neighbour’s house  . We have tried to coax her back and she just wouldn’t !  At lease she still eat the food we bring to her ! 

I hope the other dogs will go back to their rightful owners  or their territories  I just want  Japan , our pitiful dog to be back to our fold !
